9/11: Joel & Haggai
This verse is part of a prophecy about the Day of the Lord and it tells of the fate of Egypt and Edom. The fact that two entities are judged immediately alerted me to the possibility that it might be another oblique reference to 9/11.
19. But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.
|Joel 3.19 (o)||= 1199||= 11 x 109|
There is a real confluence of eleven multiples here, because the chapter and verse numbers imply 319, which is 11 x 29, and Joel 3.19 is the NIV Bible's 22363rd verse, which is 11 x 2033 (it is Joel's 71st verse). So metaphor, gematria and numerics all testify that this verse, like so many others within God's Word, is a prophecy of 9/11.
This is the 911th chapter in the Bible and begins as follows:
2.1 On the twenty first day of the seventh month the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai:
So we see 911 and 217 coming together at the chapter level as well as the verse level. 217 gives the order in which the three towers fell on 9/11 and is the ordinal value of the phrase 'Christ's Second Coming'. For more information on 217 see here.
Finally, this is the 22858th verse in the NIB Bible, which is 11 x 2078.
